There is access to 2 songs on initial download with a huge amount of settings from changing the fall rate of the steps to difficulty level and even how many health points you lose when you miss a step. The developer even lets you adjust the the music if there is lag on the phone to sync it up correctly. It looks like the developer put a lot of thought into this application.

If there’s one thing that would make the Music Hero app unique, it’s the option for loading the songs that you have stored inside your phone. This particular feature would give you the chance to play the game while listening to a song that you like. However, the notes or beats does not seem to sync well with custom songs. It can be observed that the discs will just appear in random.

I found O2Jam U to be a fun little music game. There are enough initial points to sample all the songs, and the decent amount of options ensures some replayability. Song selection may be a bit sparse, but that can easily be fixed with future support. There are some folks that will find the network requirement and performance issues to be deal breakers, but for everyone else, O2Jam U is worth at least a try.

TouchMix FX is clearly not aimed at entry-level players. The tracklist is unrecognizable and won’t pull in music fans whose favorite band might be in the mix. In addition, the difficulty starts hard and just escalates from there. Simple in a sense, but let me tell you this – basic gaming skills aren’t enough to master this game, for exceptional talent on hand and eye coordination and impressive reaction time are both needed to be at a competitive level with other players.
